Cleaning Terms Agreement
Effective Date: November 27, 2025
This Cleaning Terms Agreement (“Agreement”) is issued by EventFlex Inc. (d/b/a MaidYa Cleaning Services) (“MaidYa”, “we”, “us”, or “our”). It forms part of our Terms and Conditions and applies to all cleaning services booked through our website, phone, SMS, WhatsApp, or email (collectively, the “Platform”).
By booking a service, you (“Client”, “you”) agree to this Agreement, which governs the cleaning services we provide directly or through vetted subcontractors. This Agreement supplements and incorporates our Terms and Conditions, Privacy Policy, and any other referenced documents.
1. Nature of Services
We provide residential and light commercial cleaning services (“Services”). Bookings may be fulfilled by our in-house team or by independent cleaning professionals coordinated through our platform.
All cleaners are independent contractors, not employees of MaidYa.
2. Bookings and Scope
Each booking confirms the service address, date and time, and service type (for example, Standard, Deep, Move-Out, or Post-Renovation).
Tasks or conditions outside the confirmed scope may incur additional charges, subject to your approval before work proceeds.
3. Pricing, Credit Card, Pre-Authorization & Payment
Unless a fixed quote is provided, pricing depends on the property’s size, condition, and time on site.
We may place a pre-authorization hold on your payment method up to five (5) days before the scheduled service for the estimated booking amount.
By providing a valid payment method, you authorize MaidYa (and our payment processor) to:
- Place a pre-authorization hold for the estimated total
- Capture payment on the day of the booking
- Charge for any approved extras or add-ons
- Apply cancellation or call-out fees
- Add parking or access-related charges
- Collect any other amounts due under this Agreement
Charges are captured on the day of service, and the pre-authorization may be converted into a captured charge once the final total is confirmed.
Payments are processed through Stripe, PayPal, credit card, Interac e-Transfer, or other approved payment methods.
We do not store full card details; all payment data is handled securely by our payment providers in compliance with PCI-DSS standards.
All amounts are subject to HST or applicable sales taxes.
Refunds, if any, will be issued to the original payment method within a reasonable timeframe.
4. Cancellations, No-Shows & Delays
You may cancel or reschedule a booking up to forty-eight (48) hours before the scheduled service time at no charge. When cancelled with at least 48 hours’ notice, the pre-authorization hold will be released automatically by your bank within their standard processing timeframe.
Cancellations within 48 hours:
Cancellations made between 48 hours and 24 hours of the scheduled service time will result in a cancellation fee equal to fifty percent (50%) of the total booking amount. This fee may be captured from the existing pre-authorization or charged directly to the payment method on file.
Cancellations within 24 hours or no access on arrival:
Cancellations made within 24 hours of the appointment, failure to provide access within 15 minutes of the cleaner’s arrival, or any no-show event will result in a charge of 100% of the total booking amount. If applicable, the pre-authorization will be converted into a captured charge.
If parking fees or access-related costs apply, these may be added to your invoice.
If MaidYa must reschedule or cancel due to illness, severe weather, unsafe conditions, or other circumstances beyond our control, you will be notified promptly and provided the option to reschedule or receive a full refund.
5. Access, Safety & Preparation
Please ensure safe and timely access to the property. Secure pets and store valuables, fragile items, and sentimental belongings.
Biohazard & Unsanitary Exclusions:
We do not clean or handle any biohazards, including but not limited to::
- bodily fluids
- feces or urine
- blood
- mold
- needles or sharps
- chemical spills
We do not service properties with active pests and infestations, including but not limited to::
- bed bugs
- cockroaches
- rodents
If any such conditions are discovered on arrival, services may be paused or terminated for safety reasons.
Time spent on site remains billable, including travel and inspection time.
Post-renovation and move-out jobs may require additional time due to debris or fine dust.
Client Disclosure:
You must inform us of any pre-existing damage, fragile surfaces, or areas of concern prior to service. MaidYa is not responsible for pre-existing damage, hidden defects, or issues not reported in advance.
6. Supplies & Equipment
MaidYa provides professional cleaning supplies and equipment unless otherwise agreed.
If you request that our team use your products or tools, you assume responsibility for their condition, safety, and performance.
7. Quality & Issue Window
If you believe something was missed, please notify us within 24 hours of completion.
We will make reasonable efforts to address valid concerns. After this period, additional work is treated as a new booking.
8. Breakage & Liability Limit
We take great care during each visit; however, minor accidents can occur.
MaidYa is not liable for:
- Pre-existing damage
- Normal wear and tear
- Items of unusual fragility or high value (artwork, antiques, collectibles) unless agreed in writing
Remove or secure delicate or high-value items prior to service.
Our total liability is limited to the amount paid for that specific service visit (excluding taxes).
We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages.
Any damage or concern must be reported within 24 hours of completion.
9. Subcontractors & Teams
We may assign vetted subcontractors or cleaning professionals to perform services on our behalf.
By booking, you authorize MaidYa to coordinate scheduling and communication with subcontractors as needed.
10. Photos & Videos (Documentation)
We may take limited photos or brief videos to document:
- Pre-existing damage
- Safety concerns
- Completed work for internal records
Images will capture only work areas and exclude identifiable personal belongings.
With your explicit consent, selected before-and-after photos may be used for marketing purposes without revealing your name or address.
11. Privacy & Data
We collect and handle client information solely to manage bookings, process payments, and comply with legal requirements.
Payment data is processed securely by third-party payment providers and governed by their policies.

12. Term, Updates & Governing Law
This Agreement becomes effective upon your first booking and applies to all subsequent services unless replaced or updated.
We may revise this Agreement periodically by posting a new version with a new Effective Date.
This Agreement is governed by the laws of Ontario, Canada. All disputes shall be resolved exclusively in Ontario courts.
13. Acceptance
By booking a cleaning service, paying an invoice, or confirming a booking through our Platform, you agree to these Cleaning Terms and our Terms and Conditions.
